Asquith Doctors now Bulk Billing Practice
Asquith Doctors is proud to announce that from 1 November 2025, we will join the Australian Government’s new Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program.
This change means that most consultations will now be bulk-billed at no cost to you, provided you are registered with our practice through MyMedicare.
This initiative helps make healthcare more affordable and accessible for our community while allowing us to continue offering the same high-quality care you know and trust.
Which services will be bulk billed?
If you are MyMedicare-registered with Asquith Doctors, the following services will be bulk billed:
- Standard consultations (short, medium, and long appointments)
- Chronic disease management plans
- Mental health care plans
- Most preventive health services
Simply bring your Medicare card to your appointment, and there will be no out-of-pocket cost for these services.
Which services will be privately billed?
While this new program expands access to bulk billing, some services are not covered by Medicare and will continue to incur a fee. These include:
- Procedures such as skin lesion removals, injections, and minor surgery
- Paperwork and reports (e.g. driver’s licence medicals, insurance forms, employment assessments)
- Non-Medicare services such as cosmetic treatments, travel medicine, and some vaccinations
- Telehealth consultations that don’t meet Medicare eligibility requirements
Our reception team will always let you know if any fees apply when booking your appointment.
How do I register for MyMedicare?
If you are not yet registered for MyMedicare, log into your MyGov account, or ask our friendly reception team for a paper copy of the form to get started.
The new bulk billing incentive program allows us to provide more services at no cost to you while maintaining the time and quality of care that our patients value.
